ATLANTA (June 5, 2013) – As a part of the grassroots initiative to raise funds to preserve the Eames House, a true landmark of mid-20th century modern architecture, digital marketing agency, Nebo, and the Eames Foundation are announcing the release of four new limited edition prints to help support the campaign.
The Eames House, located in Pacific Palisades, Calif., was once home to Charles and Ray Eames, pioneers of modern art, design and architecture. The couple lived and worked in the home for the most prolific part of their lives. The Eames Foundation now cares for the home, which is in need of restoration to bring it back to life.
Previously, the Eames Foundation and Nebo partnered to create and sell limited edition prints to benefit the home conservation long-term. The original goal to raise $150,000 was achieved in less than three months. Now, due to the overwhelming support from design enthusiasts and Eames fans alike, and because the cost of the 250 year plan is projected to be 2.5 million dollars, Nebo and the Eames Foundation are introducing four new hand-numbered prints for sale as an extension of the campaign.
“The response to help preserve this iconic home and a true symbol of modern architecture has been incredible,” said Adam Harrell, President at Nebo. “After meeting our original goal in just three short months, we knew we wanted to extend our efforts to help raise even more and garner additional support for this amazing initiative.”
The new prints are 100 percent original works inspired by the elegant geometry and understated simplicity of Charles and Ray Eames’s designs. The limited edition pieces are hand-numbered and being sold for 75 dollars each, and all proceeds are going to the Eames Foundation to fund the long-term preservation of the Eames House.
Design Within Reach has also partnered with the Eames Foundation and Nebo to help promote the initiative and raise awareness by selling the prints from its website and sponsoring a speaking tour in support of the campaign.
“We’re extremely grateful and pleased the first phase of fundraising was so successful,” said Eames Demetrios, Chairman of the Board for the Eames Foundation. “It’s amazing to see the level of support from people across the country, indeed the world, who want to own a piece of the Eames legacy and help contribute to the overall preservation efforts.”

SANTA MONICA, Calif. (May 6, 2013) – Eames Foundation has met its initial goal to raise $150,000 in an effort to preserve and protect the Eames House, a landmark of mid-20th century modern architecture, for the next 250 years.
“We are so grateful to have raised more than $150,000 in less than three months after launching our grassroots fundraising campaign,” said Eames Demetrios, Chairman of the Board of Eames Foundation. “We couldn’t have done it without the help and support of our partners and the many, many individuals who’ve donated to the cause. We’re happy that so many love and appreciate the work of Charles and Ray Eames – and cherish being part of its future. And because we estimate that the total conservation cost will be around 2.5 million dollars, this grassroots passion is essential to the future of the Eames House.”
To help preserve the Eames House and own a piece of the Eames legacy, people can purchase hand-numbered original prints for 75 dollars each. The prints are 100 percent original works created by Nebo, Atlanta-based digital marketing and web design agency. The designs were inspired by the elegant geometry and understated simplicity of the Eames’s designs.
For each print sold at 75 dollars, Herman Miller and Vitra, Eames Foundation’s partner companies for the campaign, matched every purchase with an additional 75-dollar donation. The campaign launched in January 2013 and met its goal just three months later.
Emboldened by the success of the first phase of the campaign, Eames Foundation and Nebo will reveal four new limited addition prints to continue to help raise funds to help preserve the Eames House.
“Design enthusiasts around the world have really rallied for this cause,” said Adam Harrell, President at Nebo. “The amount of support has been absolutely amazing. We’re looking forward to the release of this next set of prints so we can help preserve this landmark of modern architecture for the next generation.”

SANTA MONICA, Calif. (February 13, 2013) – Eames Foundation recently launched a campaign to raise funds to save the Eames House, a landmark of mid-20th century modern architecture.
“Our goal with this campaign is to raise $150,000 towards preserving and protecting the Eames house for the next 250 years,” said Eames Demetrios, Chairman of the Board of Eames Foundation. “Our partners have helped us create a handful of limited edition original prints to sell to help raise money for the cause.”
To help preserve the Eames House and own a piece of the Eames legacy, people can purchase these hand-numbered original prints for 75 dollars each. They are 100 percent original works inspired by the elegant geometry and understated simplicity of Eames designs. Only 500 of each limited edition print will be produced and all purchases are tax-deductible (though each donor should consult with their tax advisor).
For the campaign, Eames Foundation partnered with Herman Miller, a global creator of inspiring designs, inventive technologies, and strategic services to improve the human experience, and Vitra, a furniture company dedicated to developing healthy, intelligent, inspiring and durable solutions for the office and home, to create the Authenticity Fund for this project. They are matching donations of 75 dollars for each print purchased.
The Eames House, close to 70-years-old, was one of roughly two-dozen homes “designed to express man’s life in the modern world,” and is now in need of renovation. The Eames Foundation also partnered with award-winning digital marketing agency, Nebo, to design the limited edition prints and website for the campaign.
“We loved partnering with the Eames Foundation to help preserve this iconic landmark,” said Adam Harrell, President at Nebo. “The work of Ray & Charles Eames had a huge influence on my design philosophy, and these prints allow any fan of modern design to own a part of that amazing legacy.”
